BERIAS was founded in 2020 in Bavaria with a simple idea: mid-sized companies deserve consulting that fits their size. That means less theory, shorter projects, and someone who stays until the change actually works. Our first year was also the first year of the COVID-19 pandemic. Companies needed quick, practical help, and BERIAS was profitable by the end of that year.
Since then, our consultants and project managers have worked with companies of every size, from mid-sized manufacturers to international corporations. The industries range from automotive and commercial vehicles to pharma, healthcare, electronics, construction, logistics and retail.
That mix shaped how we work today. In large corporations we learned how big programs are run. In mid-sized companies we learned to get the same results with fewer people, less budget and less time.
Automation became a bigger part of our work early on. We introduced software robots (RPA), moved companies to the cloud and connected systems that had never talked to each other.
In 2023 we opened BERIAS LLC in Florida. Since then the company has had two homes, BERIAS GmbH near Munich and BERIAS LLC in Coral Gables. More and more of our projects now cross borders, between Germany, the US and Latin America: online businesses that run largely on their own, new systems for teams that work in three languages, and European companies building their US entity.
Since 2024, BERIAS has been owned and led by its founder, Tobias Heß. The focus has become clearer since then: process management, project management, automation, and logistics.
We listen first. Then we look at how the work actually flows, in the systems and in people's heads, and pick the one thing that slows you down most. That is where we start, with a result you can see.
A new system or an automation only helps if the people who use it every day understand why it is there. So we spend as much time on training, communication and the order of the steps as on the technology itself.
Sometimes the honest answer is to buy less software, or to leave a process alone because it works. We tell you that too. We don't sell software, and we don't take commissions from vendors. The idea behind all of this is Ubuntu: people get further together than alone, and that takes respect on both sides of the table.
BERIAS was founded by Tobias Heß, a business engineer (M. Eng.) and entrepreneur. Before BERIAS, he had already built several companies of his own: a textile brand, two food startups, and a sauce manufacturer that he ran as managing director. He knows from the inside what it means to write a business plan, convince investors, manage suppliers and build processes from scratch with too little time and money.
He started out as an automotive mechatronics technician and then studied business engineering in Landshut, with a master's focus on project management. That combination still shows in how BERIAS works: systems, costs and people are looked at together. Tobias is currently in the Doctor of Business Administration program at Golden Gate University, where his research is on time management for portfolio entrepreneurs, people who run several businesses at once.

At the far end are fully automated operations, where robots in a warehouse are coordinated by one system, supported by remote operators (teleoperation) and trained step by step to handle more tasks on their own.

We use AI every day, in client work and in the tools we build for ourselves. We use it where it makes the work simpler. If a tool only makes things look modern, we leave it out.
